God's good purpose for us is to conform us, by His Spirit, into the image of Jesus Christ. Romans 8:28-29 He wants us to be transfigured--a metamorphosis 2 Corinthians 3:18

Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed, transfigured, by the renewing of your mind. God is the One who is transforming and transfiguring you. Romans 12:1-2 You cannot transform/transfigure yourself. All you can do is to yield. You can submit to the transforming, transfiguring power of the Holy Spirit or you can submit to your own flesh. You cannot do both. Even your ability to submit is a free gift from God, so you can't boast about it.

No amount of human effort could make that happen, but God has a plan. God has a method. God has a way. God has a pattern for everything and His pattern is the only way.

God's plan is a two-step process.

• Be born into His family.
• Grow up to His fullness.
