Divine revelation is different from other forms of revelation. There are three basic forms of revelation: divine, demonic, and human. Divine revelation cannot lie. Demonic and human revelation can only deceive with enough truth to make the lie seem true when it is not true. Rationalism is an example of human revelation. The Bible is an example of divine revelation. When God speaks of revelation, the reference is to a veil, actually, the removal of a veil. There is only one verse that gives us a key to the meaning: Hebrew 10:19-20 says, Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; The apocalypse is the removal of the veil of our flesh. In Scripture, it is both progressive and an end-times sudden event.
