“You can convince yourself to believe anything you want. When I was younger, I was convinced that I could make things levitate if I just concentrated hard enough. Belief itself no matter how strong that belief is does not change reality.’
This is actually a true statement. People live in false realities. In this instance, a person has convinced himself that God exists against the overwhelming evidence that God has provided in His creation and against God’s calling to Him through his innermost mind and against many messengers God has sent to him. The beliefs of the Atheists cannot change reality a bit.
There are two kinds of belief/faith. One kind is to believe a lie. The other kind is to believe the truth. Most if not all people have a mix of the two. Belief in the truth, the faith that is described in the Bible, comes when God speaks. God speaks reality. Reality and truth are one and the same thing. Jesus said that everyone who is on the side of truth listens to Him. He also said that His sheep hear His Voice. He also called Himself, the Truth.
