Not Wordview

A world view is a construct of the mind, a construct of the soul.  It is something that we create.  A Secular world view is a contruct that says that there is no God.  A recent survey says that only a small percentage of Christians have a Biblical world view.  Everyone has a world view, but a lot of people aren't even aware that they have a world view.  If you were to close your eyes right now, you would be able to mentally walk through your kitchen.  That's not a real kitchen but just something that is constructed in your mind.  It isn't real.  In our world view, we have a construct of everything we think exists.  The truth, however, does not exist in a constructed world view.

Even a Biblical world view is purely a construct.  When we try to understand God, we come up with theologies.  One of the problems of theology is that it is a mental construct of God.  The truth does not abide in any world view.  We don't need a world view.  We need to know God.  Knowing about God isn't all that helpful.  We need an intimate relationship with Jesus.  Jesus is the truth (John 14:6a).  The Truth lives in us (1 John 1:2).  The Truth teaches us (1 John 2:27).  Our world views act as filters that cloud our vision and make it difficult for us to see reality.  If we get our eyes on the world view, we miss reality.  We miss the Truth.  When we see the Truth, we see Him as He is and so we are transfigured to be like Him.
