Do we have to make a choice between science and the Bible?

NO!

That is NOT where the problem is, but that is what everyone seems to want to talk about.

Take science as an example. How can we know anything about the created material world around us?

How can we know anything from what we can see using natural sciences?

We all see the same things in the material world, but we don't come to the same answers.

Why is that?

How can we know anything about the Bible and what it teaches? Every person believes different things about the Bible and how it should be read.

Why is that?

Same scientific facts. Different answers.

Same Bible. Different answers.

Why is that?

The true question is this: How do we come to our answers that we get from what we can see through science or what we can read in the Bible?

How do we think about what we see using science or what we read in the Bible?

How do we analyze what we have seen and read?

How do we interpret what we have seen and read?

We use logic, but logic always has a foundation. Jesus talked about building on the Rock. That Rock is Jesus Christ. He is the true foundation. There are also the false foundations of the ungodly.

An example might help.

Question: Why do believe in evolution?

Answer: Because my science teacher told me that evolution is scientific fact.

Question: Why do you believe your science teacher?

Answer: because he agrees with the textbook he assigned us to read.

Now, we have asked, "Why?" twice.

If we continued to ask, "Why?" we would come down to the foundation of this person's thoughts.

When we get down to the foundations, there are no more questions that can be answered. So where to the foundations come from?

There are three possibilities.

Question: Why do believe in creation?

Answer: Because God revealed this to me. He spoke to me through the Bible and gave me His faith so that I could believe Him.

See how quickly we got to the foundation. This is a belief that has a foundation that is solid and that cannot be moved.

In reality, the things that we make up, that are pulled from the air, are actually from demons and all the lies of demons spring from the prince of demons, Satan. So these are one and the same.

Divine revelation comes from the Almighty, Creator, God, Jesus Christ. So there are only two choices, but how do we know there are only two choices? Because God has revealed this truth to us.

The question then is how do we tell the difference between the revelation that comes from God and the lies of Satan?

The answer is that everyone who sincerely wants to do the will of God will know.

Jesus said, "If you really want to obey God, you will know if what I teach comes from God or from me"

The rejection of the revelation that comes from God is not an intellectual problem. It is a moral problem.

Jesus said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks it shall be opened. *

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to those who ask him? Matthew 7:7-11 *

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. You can set the truth before someone, but you can't make anyone believe those things that they don't want to submit to. They have to want to obey God.

Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32)

"If we are not prepared to buy the truth at the cost of our own humbling we shall not receive it"

Lies appear to have no price upon them. They seem cheap and they abound everywhere. But for the truth there is always an obvious price to pay.

[God] has set a day when He will judge all the world's people with fairness. And He has chosen the man Jesus to do the judging for Him. God has given proof of this to all of us by raising Jesus from death" (Acts 17:31).

"There is a judge for the one who rejects Me [Jesus] and does not accept My words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day" (John 12:48)

That also stands for every person who speaks the utterances of Jesus. When we hear them, we hear Jesus Christ, and we either accept or reject. Every person who follows Jesus Christ is commanded to only speak His utterances and not their own.

"When we love others, we know that we belong to the truth, and we feel at ease in the presence of God" (1 John 3:19)

Ravi Zacharias did two open forums in a university. On the second night, one man told him that he had brought two Atheists in the night before who said that the arguments presented were so strong that they could not contend with them, but they were going to remain Atheists because that is what they prefer to be true.

In listening to an unbeliever and drawing out his reasoning, the unbeliever finally came to his foundations.

They turned out to be assumptions that were pulled from the air. When asked why he believed his basic assumption, the unbeliever looked startled and blurted out, “I guess I’m making the whole thing up.” It was quite a revelation to him since he hadn't even known that he had any assumptions. However, he decided to remain an Atheist because he didn’t want God to rule over him.

Evolution is NOT Science

Many things are called science. Search for "the science of" on the internet and you will see that the word, science, has been so abused that it hardly has a meaning any longer. The reason for this is that operational science, the kind of science by which we discover new ways to help ourselves live a better life, has shown itself to be very effective. By this kind of science, operational science, we have many breakthroughs in transportation, medicine, manufacturing, and in virtually every area of the physical realm. If we talk about another kind of science, say, the science of dating, or the science of effective public speaking, or the science of evolution, we are using the same word to mean something very different. This is confusing. Why do so many people want to use the word, science, and apply it to whatever they are selling? Because it makes their product seem to be valid. Evolution is a story about history. History happened in the past. Operational science can only be used to test those things that can be observed. There are no scientific techniques that are adequate to examine God or heaven or hell or Satan, for instance. If you were able to make an observation, how would you repeat it so someone else could verify it? Science is not a valid tool to test in these areas. Operational science can only be used to test those things that are in the present. It cannot be used to test things in the past of future. Science can test things that are in the present. We see fossils. Some of these fossils are similar though coming from very different kinds of animals. Each kind of animal is distinct, however, from other kinds of animals. We see considerable variation within a kind of animal, but we don't see millions of transitions where there is no real line of distinction between one kind of animal and another. That is what science can tell us. Historical science, such as Evolution, or Creation, or Intelligent Design, makes up creative stories about the fossils. Those stories are not science. The Bible is a historical account of creation as it actually happened. God has revealed, to Christians today, that the Bible is the Word of God and that it is historically correct. Some Evolutionists get so wrapped up in their religion (Evolutionism) that they claim that God cannot reveal or that it is irrational to say that God reveals. If God cannot speak, that would mean that the Bible is incorrect, because the Bible repeatedly says that God speaks to us. And our experience is that God does speak to us. The Evolutionists are claiming that we are experiencing what we are experiencing in the spiritual realm. In this, the Evolutionists are irrational. They are making a truth-claim of a universal negative. They are claiming that, because they have no way of measuring it, therefore it cannot exist. This is an insane position, yet they hold to it and press for laws to enforce it.

There are many arguments against Evolution. From a scientific standpoint, the hypothesis does not hold water. From a biblical view, there is no way to reconcile Evolution with the Bible. The impact on society is to bring misery and cruelty. Concerning human life, Evolution cheapens human life to a point near worthlessness. Concerning ethics, Evolutionism removes any logical basis for integrity or real morality. Concerning racism, Evolutionism creates the only logical basis for racism.

At SeekFind.net website, we define science as knowledge. However, physics, chemistry, and true biology had seemed to be the source of many benefits. I say, "seemed to be" because the reality is that any knowledge that is knowledge comes from God. Any benefit that is a benefit comes from God. His rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous. The scientist may observe and study, but it is God Who pulls back the veil so that the scientist can see. In the public opinion, though, the word, science, had been associated in people's minds with benefits and credibility. When this happened, the Atheists (Secular Humanist Religion), made their move to use the technique of labeling to make their theology seem credible. They labeled Evolution as science. The labeled naturalism as science. They labeled materialism as science. They labeled uniformitarianism as science. And many other philosophies and theologies of the Secular Humanists we now find labeled, in the public opinion, as science. But they are not knowledge. They are fanciful fables.

Evolutionism started as a fanciful fable that seemed, on the surface, to roughly fit the observations of Charles Darwin. Now, Evolution is increasingly becoming a series of speculative stories to explain away the scientific observations that are evidence of the biblical account of creation of the universe and all life by God.

Increasingly, scientists are explaining away their observations rather than following observations of reality to come to an understanding of what is real. There is no other area of science where this is more the case than it is with the area of the study of origins. According to some of the definitions of science, the study of origins is not science by definition of the word, science. However, most people think of the study of origins as science. Most scientists are staunch, dogmatic followers of Evolutionism. That paradigm of Evolutionistic thinking is so ingrained in their minds that they cannot see reality. When they publish papers, they write of discoveries that really speak loudly of a recent creation, a loving creator, a fall away from that creator, a global flood, and much of the other historical information that we all can read in the Bible. Then, they explain away what they have seen.
