God has an order for receiving revelation, and He has given us that order in Scripture.  Mankind claims an authority that has not been given by God.  Some people say that they have a calling, but God never called them. Many have sent themselves as the interpreters of the Scripture, teaching many speculations about the meaning of various parts of the Bible. Often, they teach much more than God has revealed, and they cause confusion in the church. Money, power, and prestige are the main driving forces behind these who send themselves, often claiming to be sent by God.

Ephesians 3:1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

Ephesians 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

Ephesians 3:3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

Ephesians 3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

It is sad to say that some lean on their own understanding.  Many so-called ministers don't really believe in divine revelation.  Some claim that they can, by their own carnal and natural minds, discern spiritual things.

Human theology and reasoning is not necessarily correct, but the Bible is. The Bible can only be understood by revelation, and revelation is given by the Spirit of God. God does reveal in His own way. But we only know in part. If we think we know any thing, we do not know it as we ought. We are instructed, by God, to keep seeking Him. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. The truth sets us free. Lies bind us. Whoever seeks Jesus does find Him. Jesus is the truth.
