What about when theologians and Bible scholars use rationalized speculation? It's a bad thing.
Short Answer
Theologians are guilty as charged in many, many cases. They go beyond what the Bible actually says and seem to do so without any regard for the sin they are committing. Liberal theologians make the mistake of thinking that the Bible has no more authority than their own carnal minds. God can take a Scripture and reveal its meaning. That’s what happened to Martin Luther when God said to him, "By grace are you saved, by faith." That was a revelation, not a speculation. But many theologians are involved in the sin of either rationalized or spiritualized speculation.
Rationalized and spiritualized speculation causes divisions. The denominations are the proof of the carnality. The denominations and infighting show that not everyone is being led by the Spirit of God. When we all turn to God rather than following pet theories or following organizations, we will come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God that is prophesied.
Rom 8:7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.
Detailed Answer
Some may think that the problem of speculatively rational-lies-ed theories is limited to science, but it covers every walk of life. It has particularly plagued the theologians who are constantly fighting among themselves over speculatively rational-lies-ed doctrine. worldly liberal theologians tend to knowingly use rational-lie-zed speculation, while conservative theologians tend to be unaware that they are rationalizing speculations. Conservatives think they are just using the Bible as it is written, but the natural human mind is very deceptive. If the Holy Spirit is revealing, then there will be unity among all who are really seeking God. For those who are depending on human intelligence, there will always be error with just enough truth to seem convincing.

David and his men built a new cart. They had this great idea for carrying the ark. God doesn't need ideas as He showed us on that day. He gave us fair warning that he needs us to obey.

Or else they're unimportant and easy to deny. With great intelligence, they keep explaining why. But every time they move their mouth, you hear another lie.
Jeremiah said, "Be careful what you do." If you say, "The Lord said," something, just make sure it's true. The Lord won't tell me one thing and another thing to you. If His Spirit leads us, He will end the Hullabaloo.
