Self Christianity: Self-Seeking
The Kingdom walk is a walk of submission. Everyone who walks the Kingdom way must submit to the Holy Spirit, of course. In addition, God has built submission into His pattern for the Church. In the pattern of Scripture, there is no chief elder or main leader in either to local Church or the universal Church. Some have been so put off by the submission built into the Scriptural order that they have said that such things as apostles or the order of multiple elders, none having preeminence, was only to get things started. This pattern is the only pattern God has given for the Church to come into fullness. God's ways are not a smorgasbord where we get to pick and choose.
But to them that are contentious (self-seeking), and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Romans 2:8 KJV
but to those who are self-seeking, and don't obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath and indignation, Romans 2:8 WEB
while on the other hand upon the self-willed who disobey the truth and obey unrighteousness will fall anger and fury, affliction and awful distress, Romans 2:8 Weymouth
Let us not be desirous of vain glory (self-glory), provoking one another, envying one another. Galatians 5:26
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27
How can we know anything about anything? That’s the real question
