Lies About How the Bible Was Written

The idea in this question is that, since the authors were fallible human beings, the Bible is fallible.

Many people try to define exactly how the process of divine inspiration works.This is not wise.We can know some things about the inspired Word of God and how it was inspired, however.

The purpose of this refusal to believe God:

If the Bible is just the opinions of men, then are not my opinions just as valid?If that is true, I can do what I want and continue in my rebellion against God.I can claim that God never made it clear that I was to obey.For many people, they want to disobey one or two of God's precepts (for instance: perversions of marriage, greed, or cruelty).

For most, it is just a desire to run their own lives separated from God, making their own decisions and not seeking complete unity with The Almighty God and His Love.This is the definition of iniquity.God has a plan for every aspect of our lives and He has designed us to be joined to Him in a wonderful way where we are constantly in submission to His will and He guides, directs, and empowers every thought, word, and action of our lives every moment of the day and night.That is the purpose and the goal.

Thousands of people have tried to find inconsistencies in Scripture or things that would conflict with what can easily be observed.They have spent billions of dollars, often from tax money, to find errors.To date, they have been unsuccessful.

Why we know that the Bible is the Word of God without error:

God reveals that to us. God speaks. That is how faith, supernatural belief, comes. If we submit ourselves to Him and keep seeking Him, He reveals Himself to us.

 (some caveats about hearing God's Voice)

From the Bible itself:

Keep in mind that when you read the Bible, if you are to get anything of value from it at all, humble yourself. Realize that the human mind is of no value without the Anointing of the Holy Ghost on it. Ask God to reveal to you what He will as you read. Realize that there are things in Scripture that you will not be able to receive. Later, if you walk well, God will unfold them to you.

Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past to the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration [literally: God breathed] of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Luke 2:23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

Revelation 22:19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.

John 10:35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Luke 16:31 And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

1Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them to us[the apostles]by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.Now we[the apostles]have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it isnow revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

It's clear that the Bible is authoritative but that it must be revealed and interpreted by the Holy Spirit.God does set special ministries to receive revelation.In our self-glorification age, that may not be politically correct to say so, but it is true none the less.

Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations. Starting at verse 2, we have Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judas, Phares and Zara of Thamar, Esrom, Aram, Aminadab, Naasson, Salmon, Booz, Obed, Jesse, David the king.  That is fourteen generations. Solomon, Roboam, Abia, Asa, Josaphat,...

That the apostles would have created such words and ideas out of thin air seems unlikely, for their story and their message strained credulity even then. Paul admitted the difficulty: "... we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling-block to Jews and folly to Gentiles." A king who died a criminal's death? An individual's resurrection from the dead? A human atoning sacrifice? "This is not something that the PR committee of the...

There are no contradictions in the Bible.  Those who make these claims are confused, uninformed, or else deceptive.  Sometimes, it is a little of each.  Perhaps they don\'t know what a contradiction is. A contradiction says, \"At the same time and in the same relationship, two mutually exclusive propositions are both true.\"   That is a contradiction.  However, the Bible does not have any such thing.  A contradiction says: \"at the same time and in the same...

  The Bible is still unchallenged, though many have spent fortunes (often pubic tax money) trying to discredit it, not a single error has been found. All attempts have failed to find an error or inconsistency in the Bible. All attempts have failed to explain away the miracles in the Bible using the assumptions of Naturalism, materialism and uniformitarianism. When miracles take place today, then the followers of materialism and Naturalism will...

God has an order for receiving revelation, and He has given us that order in Scripture.  Mankind claims an authority that has not been given by God.  Some people say that they have a calling, but God never called them. Many have sent themselves as the interpreters of the Scripture, teaching many speculations about the meaning of various parts of the Bible. Often, they teach much more than God has...
