Basic Tenets of The Human Goodness Cult:
The human goodness cult, often referred to as, "Liberalism," is a dangerous cult. This anti-Bible concept of “human goodness” lies at the root of many cults. Jesus said, “There is none good but God.” Scripture is very clear that there is not one righteous person. Jesus fulfilled all the law and is righteous. Human goodness is a false supposition and an attempt to do away with the need for Jesus. All organizations, religions, and philosophies that buy into the human goodness idea are cultic.

What is a cult?
There is a theory founded on the natural goodness of humans. That theory, which says that natural goodness or righteousness comes from self, could be stated as self-righteousness. This is what Jesus was referring to when he called the religious leaders, “hypocrites,” two thousand years ago. This human goodness idea can be found in many churches to some degree. It is the natural tendency of the human to attempt show its own supposed goodness. The old Adam in each of us seeks to show its own righteousness
The human goodness cult will not tolerate Biblical Christianity. This cult is closed to the revelation in the Bible, the authority of God, the atoning work of Christ or even the knowledge that they need a Savior. The human goodness cult doesn’t accept the righteousness that is only available in Christ and the gifts of the Spirit that are only available through Christ.
Of course, all of this runs into problems with the Bible, so the human goodness cult, in general, tries to imply that humans can add to or eliminate parts of the Bible. A favorite tactic is to try to say that there are errors in the Bible.
Since they know that they cannot obey God’s lay, they try to over turn God's law by any means.
It is the delusion of human goodness cannot be reconciled to Christ because it is anti-Christ. The reality is that, even when humanity is at its best, the fallen creature is still in the clutches of the evil one. The only real victory is through Jesus Christ.
The concept of supposed human goodness is the true and only self-righteousness, and it is a false righteousness.
The only real righteousness that can be attained is available through Jesus Christ. It is God's free gift to whomsoever will accept it. If we are good, then we don’t need Jesus. If we are good, then we can do good without Jesus. Jesus said, “Without Me, you can do nothing.” If we were to claim to be good, then we would be calling Jesus a liar. How does a member of the human goodness cult attain such self-righteousness? Lower the bar. God’s law reminds us of our need for Christ, so the rebellious don't want any reference to God's Law. This is a major thrust that includes Message Control to encourage the following and more: adultery, fornication, perversion, pornography, drug addiction, entertainment addiction, envy, malice, idolatry, covetousness, stealing, disrespect to parents and authority, and destruction of the Biblical pattern for the home. Along with this goes all the legal maneuvering to eliminate the Ten Commandments from classrooms and public buildings. This is one reason that they don't think that the Bible is the inspired Word of God without error. The Bible destroys their self-righteousness and asks them to receive God's righteousness. The trouble is that they love sin more than they love God.
Change the bar. They make up their own morality to suit those things that they want to do. In effect, they define morality and righteousness to mean whatever they are doing at the moment.
Eliminate the bar. Some say that everyone should do whatever they want to do.
Make false claims of righteousness, including public relations and doing “works” just so that they can be seen.
Deny reality by not acknowledging their own sinful natures. They proclaim their own goodness in spite of what they really know. All have fallen short.
The Bible rightly says, in many place and in many ways, that there is not a just man upon the earth. It says, very clearly, that we need Jesus. It says, very clearly, that by receiving Jesus we may receive forgiveness and also we may receive real righteousness. This is not the righteousness of the human, which would be hypocrisy, but it in the righteousness of the holy Christ living and working in the one who has received Christ. The members of the elitist class consider themselves to be above the other members of society. These are the self-righteous. They are the true hypocrites in the sense that Jesus used the word, hypocrite. They consider themselves to be "intellectuals" and love to think of themselves as the elite and good people, but they have lost the ability to reason. |
Basic Tenets of Biblical Christianity:
To compare the Human Goodness cult to Biblical Christianity, go here.
From Scripture, we know that every person has a conscience--even the unbeliever. By repeatedly disobeying the conscience, the conscience is seared. It becomes callous and unable to discern the voice of God.
Some evolutionists and other unbelievers have a strong sense of morality and ethics. That is evidence against Evolutionism's precepts. If Evolutionism's dogma were true, then there would be no reason to have any real ethical or moral behavior. There may be a reason to fake it in order to deceive and cheat others, but there would be no reason to actually have any real inner goodness. In fact, for a real Atheist or Evolutionist, the whole idea of goodness, evil, morality, ethics, or any such notion is utter nonsense. The logical end for Atheists and Evolutionists is in Post-Modernism where there is no right or wrong, only winners and losers, and every Atheist and Evolutionist doing whatever is necessary to be winner and avoid being a loser. For an Atheist or Evolutionist to do anything else would be illogical.
Some Atheists and Evolutionists have been truly honest and logically consistent. They include Frederich Nietzshe, Adolph Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot. In addition, those Atheists and Evolutionists who support infanticide--the killing of babies up to two years old and those who support population extermination to "save the environment" are also living consistently.
Those who are born again are joined to the Vine, Jesus. The life of the Vine (Jesus) flows through them. They bear fruit. If they do not bear fruit, the Father removes them from the Vine. If they do bear fruit, the Father prunes them so that they bear more fruit.
Without Jesus, we can do nothing. We can do all things through Christ who is our strength. |
