As already mentioned, the Body of Christ is Christ the Body. When we can discern the Body of Christ, it opens a door for us to see more clearly in the realm of the Spirit. While our fleshly nature thinks that we have a real identity outside of the Body of Christ, this is not reality. The reality is that our identity is in Christ, specifically, the Body of Christ joined to the Head, Who is Jesus. Jesus has made His Body His completeness. You and I cannot find fulfillment outside of this Body. It is impossible that you could find purpose or meaning outside of Christ the Head and Christ the Body. Remove either one, and you are lost. Every false promise of satisfaction or fulfillment in something other than the righteousness that flows through the Body of Christ is simply a lie from Satan. It is a lie that would love to bring you into bondage.
