The purpose of this page is to set aside some of the definitions of the word, church.

When the Bible is speaking of the Church, it is not speaking of a building.

When the Bible is speaking of the Church, it is not speaking of an organization or a denomination.

When the Bible is speaking of the Church, it is not speaking of the people.

When the Bible is speaking of the Church, it is not speaking of the man-made forms, rituals, extra-biblical orders, or extra-biblical offices.

When the Bible is speaking of the Church, it IS speaking of the ministries.  The ministry is Christ in the person.  He is the only One Who is worthy.  He does the work if it is the work of God.  Every member of the Church has a ministry and is a ministry.  The ministry is not the person after the flesh, but the ministry is Christ in the person.  The members of the Church are to identify with the Christ who lives in them and they are to yield themselves to Him.

When the Bible is speaking of the Church, it IS speaking of the offices that are plainly laid our in the Bible: these offices are as follows:

• In the home: Father, Mother, Child
• In the local Church: Elder, Deacon, Member
• In the Universal Church: Elder (Examples: The Apostles Paul, Peter, and James), Deacon (Examples: Stephen, Phillip, Timothy, and Titus)

When the Bible is speaking of the Church, it IS speaking of the orders that are laid out plainly in the Bible.
