Both evolution and natural selection are given personal traits as if they were planning the changes and carrying them out. That's the only way that the story of evoluton would make sense, but it would also violate the story of evolution, since everything is supposed to be unplanned. "Natural selection tinkered for millions of years to perfect the ear." "Evolution did it." Note: It seems that it is acceptable for ungodly people to think that "evolution did it" but not to think that "God did it." The fact is that God did do it.
