Smorgasbord dogma
The idea of the smorgasbord is that you take what you want and leave the rest. In addition, chaos theory, relativism, and postmodernism bring in some new possibilities. Liberals can hold several mutually exclusive beliefs at the same time. Liberals can be on both sides of an issue. Liberals, in general, don't require internal consistency of their leaders, but they do require perfection of non-liberals. Smorgasbord dogma is the method by which you can have a liberal Christian. ![]()
