Fait Accompli Tactic / Easier Asking Forgiveness than PermissionThe Fait Accompli Tactic / Easier Asking Forgiveness than Permission occurs when an action is taken without agreement, and then the result is presented with the attitude of, “Now, I’ve done it; what are you going to do about it?” This is a great way to ruin relationships. Often, the action will be taken in secret. Sometimes, it is taken by power. It is a fallacy to say that the action is justified because it is already accomplished and difficult to reverse.
