1John

You are here: Bible > 1John

The revelation that God has given to the apostles, the testimony of the Holy Spirit through Scripture itself, the testimony of the Holy Spirit in the heart of every follower of Christ, rational (sane) thought, scientific method, and any other measure other than the creative rationalizations (insane stories) of the skeptics, all confirm the historical, material, and spiritual accuracy of every part of Scripture from the very beginning of Genesis to the very end of Revelation.

The first letter of John

1. the tangible Utterance of Life is seen and shown--God is all Light and no darkness; walk according to the Light--confess your sin to God and receive His forgiveness

2. don't sin; if you sin, Jesus intercedes for you--Loving is abiding in Light--hating is abiding in darkness--you can't love the world (the disorder of the present age) and have the Love of God--comparison of the spirit of antichrist and its lies to the Unction from the Holy One and His Truth--whoever does righteousness is born of Jesus

3. we are sons now, but not yet fully manifested/visible, but we shall be like Him because we see Him as He is--only He Who does righteousness is righteous; Christ is the one who is born of God in us; He cannot sin--love in deed and truth, not in theory. (1 Jn. 3:4-11)

4. test the spirits--whoever loves is born of God; whoever doesn't love doesn't know God since God IS Love--whoever confesses Jesus in the Son of God, God lives in that person and that person lives in God

5. we know that we have love when we keep God's commandments and they are not burdensome to us--God's witness of our salvation--prayer: asking and receiving--whoever is born of God (Christ in us) doesn't sin
