Why isn't Naturalism a valid assumption?

Short Answer

Naturalism, the presupposition that God doesn't do anything, is not a valid assumption.  Actually, there are no valid assumptions.  This assumption, however, violates all that God has revealed to His people.   It violates what God has revealed through creation.  There is no way that Naturalism can account for creation.  That would mean that nothing created everything with no cause or energy.  Impossible!  The stories, such as the big bang, evolution, and millions of years do not hold water.  It violated the experiences of those who are walking with God and seeing the miracles and receiving answers to their prayers.  It violates the utterances of God as He speaks to us through His word, the Bible.

Detailed Answer

This site challenges those who claim to be open-minded to actually try to be open-minded to something other than worldly liberalism.

One of the keystone "axioms" of evolutionism is Naturalism.  Rational thought has now been defined by some of the pushers of the Humanist religion, sometimes known as Secularism, as thought that is based on the assumptions of Naturalism.  The reality is that this form of rational thought is just Rational-lie-zed speculation.  Of course, the main unfounded assumption of Naturalism is the belief that God is not a factor in anything.  You would have to convince Him of that, and I don't think you will be successful.  There will come a day when each person will have to give account for every idle word, and every deed. God is real.  Hell is real. Jesus is the only one who can free us from sin and the second death.  Secular Humanist religiosity is a sure road to the second death, and we are all going to be dead for a long time.

Ask a person who is claiming that Naturalism is fact to prove Naturalism to you using science.  You want to see all of this person's experiments and how the conclusions were reached to prove Naturalism.  They won't be able to.  They will try to divert the subject with every trick in the book, tantrums, bullying, personal attacks, attacks against Christ and His Church, and anything else they can think of, but don't let them.

There are those who love to say,
"The natural holds all the sway!"
While trying to explain away
The things that God does every day.

They tell us that we cannot know
The God above while here below.
And so they put on quite a show
To try to prove we cannot know.

But God does move. We see His Hand.
We hear His Voice. In Him, we stand.
For we know everything is planned,
And all things move at God's command.

Ungodly people hold on to some basic presuppositions/assumptions.  They presuppose no God and then seek to prove no God. That is circular reasoning. They are filters and a way to censor out any information that supports the existence of God.  They set up a web of rules to filter out God.  They will only accept those things that conform to Naturalism, materialism, and uniformitarianism.  Naturalism claims that God does nothing.  Materialism claims that there is no God or spiritual realm.  Uniformitarianism claims that there was not creation and that there was no violent worldwide flood, as the Bible and numerous other historical accounts record.  Whatever they observe that does not conform to this complex filter is censored.  The way that it is censored can take several forms.  The ungodly may boldly proclaim that, though the data appears to support God's version and refute the version of the ungodly, yet it still must be interpreted to mean just the opposite of what it does mean.  A backup method that ungodly people use is to prophecy that in the future, science will be able to explain what they see as an anomaly.  If that fails, they will hide the data, set it aside, or lie to keep the public from knowing the truth.  The data clearly demolishes the story of the ungodly and clearly supports the reality of the Creator God, His Bible, and His abiding Presence in His people.  When confronted with the obvious, a closed-minded ungodly person says, "I can't understand it."  They are willingly ignorant because they refuse to hold God in their knowledge.  The reality is that these people, for whatever reason, don't what to know the Creator.  They don't want to truly know Jesus, their Creator.

Some fundamentalist Christian creation scientists say that God would have to obey all the natural laws. That statement comes from one of three sources.  Is it a revelation from God? That is doubtful. It certainly is not in the Bible.  That leaves two other possibilities: a revelation from a demon, or a revelation from the human mind--that mind that is deceitful and desperately wicked. Why not stick with those things that are real and genuine. God can do what God wants to do for His own purposes, which are always good.

Summary

There are no valid assumptions, and Naturalism, is the unfounded assumption that God doesn't do anything.
